Josh Dutchak Memorial Cable Park
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Our facility operates using a Konex 2.0 Straight-line continuous cable system. Instead of a boat, riders are towed by an electric drive cable, which is the most cost effective and environmentally friendly way for beginners to learn and the more experienced riders to train.
For the more advanced rider, we have a set up of sliders, kickers, and rails.
The cable reverses direction at each end, providing a continuous cycle for riding.
Our system is the longest Straight-line in Canada, a 15 minute session without falling would equal approx. 5 km of distance.
Wakeboarding is the most common activity at the Park, with skills develpment for beginners to pro level. There have been some users that have tried their trick waterski and had great success. beginning waterski skills are available to be taught, but more advanced waterskiing is not an activity done at the park.
The Saskatoon Cable Park presents a cost effective and equitable method to increase involvement in towed water sports,
and provides a more environmentally sustainable opportunity for watersports activities.
It aligns with the larger shift that is taking place in towed watersports as Cable Parks are becoming a more significant part of the watersports environment in Canada and around the world.
We are a proud member of Waterski and Wakeboard Saskatchewan and registered with Waterski Wakeboard Canada.
